Crossroads Care Staffordshire’s Trustees come from different backgrounds and have experience in commerce, industry, education, public services, social care and the NHS.  However, what they have in common is a wish to support the numerous unpaid carers in the area who work tirelessly looking after mentally and physically disadvantaged adults and children.  These carers may be family, friends or neighbours who work long hours with little thanks and little help from the state.

The Trustees empathise with this situation.  Indeed some of them have had many years of personal experience of being a carer, some even having to give up paid employment in order to care.  They were able to put their trust in Crossroads’ dedicated team of support workers to provide a high quality service, thus allowing them to take a short break.  For this reason they joined the Board in thanks for all the help they had been given.
